I Like It Like that, salsa dura on vinyl is a premium salsa party based in London focusing in bringing some of the most talented DJs from around the world to spin the best in salsa dura on vinyl.

“Our passion is to explore salsa music; find out how djs narrate it outside the UK & bring them to the UK, making our parties a window to the international salsa scene. A simple ‘spin’ that concentrates on Djs, outside and inside the UK playing on the timeless, quality sound of vinyl; celebrating their collections, music knowledge, flavour and experience. Our first priority is the marriage of a good experienced Dj with a good sound system, so what we love the most – music, is expressed at its best. Adding to that an extra musical layer of live percussion, we strive to provide ‘Premium Salsa Quality’ to the dancers and music enthusiasts who join our parties. Finally, we aim to set high standards in what we believe makes an enjoyable and relaxed party, – a good spacious venue with the best possible mix of amenities to accommodate participators combined with a relaxed atmosphere for people to dance, enjoy music and connect with each other. Venue: Lambeth Town Hall at 1 Brixton Hill, London SW2 1RW
“This newly refurbished Art Deco hall offers a dream space and dance floor for salsa dancers. Fully air conditioned, wooden-sprung floor throughout, high ceilings, separate bar area, plus large stage area for dj decks and top quality sound system. It is a couple of moments from Brixton tube/rail station, on the high street, which serves night-tube Victoria line and has many fast transport connections to central London.”
The only thing I would argue with here as the air conditioning needs some attention either because it wasn’t working or because the extremely high ceiling meant that the cool air never reached us. The organisers have promised to sort this out next month bringing some strong fans if necessary! I’ll be back to find out and I recommend you come too! The dancing area is around 20x30m which should support up to 600 dancers at any one time!
