Philip Wake As always a good party atmosphere with motivational music from the Kinashow Latin Band to keep us dancing all night. I enjoyed helping Riley discover the ‘waiting for a bus’ technique for weight transfer which turns moving to music into smooth dancing. The last lesson for the night was when I noticed her while dancing with another man pointing with her back foot instead of leaning back. I explained that her head must be vertically above her foot on each step to ensure her entire weight is on it as she lands on her toe and eases down to her heel! With this on board she became really light to lead and so well balanced that she was ready to move very quickly at any moment in any direction even a not so good lead might wish her to suddenly go.
