Philip Wake The Slug & Lettuce Fareham was a bit disappointing with less people than last week and everybody left by 9:45. I danced with the most of the girls to help them develop but was disappointed that Jessica had to go early again so we didn’t get to dance!
Philip Wake Drift was very busy upstairs with many people wearing costumes, masks or Halloween make-up. I had a lot of lovely dances but was particularly pleased to see Michelle who came up for a salsa which must have been our first for a couple of years. You must come more often Michelle and next time bring your daughter up for a dance as well! ❤️

Philip Wake Well that was a good warm up for my weekend in London:
– Friday 1 November ” Que Rico” Halloween Monster BALL Party – 2AM
– Saturday Salsa – Fusion Party at 229 The Venue
– Richmond Sunday Live!
and so to bed with a smile on my face! ❤️

Reviewing the situation at Slug & Lettuce Fareham
The teacher Jessica Vilotta wrote to me politely explaining that she couldn’t dance with me finishing with: “I am there to dance with the students and to help them with all the questions and doubts . I am there to dance with the ladies when they are alone. To call a rueda or for a group dance. I’m there to talk with people if they want informations….I’m not there just to have fun. So unfortunately i cannot dance with you…I have to try to build up everything from 0… I have to work … But thank you so much for asking… Have a nice day Philip.”
So I wrote to the organiser Paul Ruston saying: “I think I understand but if I can’t dance with her and in view of the failing attendance I’m not really inclined to come again! Let me know if it does increase. I’ll come as a guest if you want me to be a taxi dancer – I used to live in Fareham and understand how difficult it is to get anything going there and would like it to succeed!
