On This Day 483 Years Ago – Anne Boleyn crowned Queen of England

On 1st June 1533 Anne Boleyn was officially crowned Queen of England but not before she had proved that she would provide Henry VIII with an heir to the throne by becoming heavy with child!

How many people would have to die before this most arrogant of Kings would achieve his life’s ambition which was to have a son who would be the male heir to the throne that he believed England needed for its ongoing stability! The only winner in the end was Anne herself when her daughter Elizabeth became Queen and turned out to be exactly what England needed. Anne chose to have her head severed from her body rather than have her daughter’s birthright rescinded and proved that power in the end belongs to the one with integrity and the strongest will to succeed rather than the one with the most forceful means of succeeding but without integrity!
