WATERFRONT & CHIPS ON WEDNESDAY!

I had to attend a tasting session of 4 different kinds of veggie burgers in Gosport. Having been paid £15 for eating the whole of the one I quite liked and bits of the three I didn't I thought I might as well spend £1.90 on some really tasty chips at Frydays Fish & Chips. Salsateca London and Ola Latina run a regular event called El Bembe' on every 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month at The Bottlescrue, 33 Foster Lane, London EC2V 6HD. There is parking in the streets nearby from 7pm onwards. I always enjoy the experience of attending Incognito's Putney Salsa Club which is run by the elegant Jeff Tarpinian and has a very friendly atmosphere. I planned to go to  S-B-K at Spinnaker Tower 2018 and arrived at 8:50pm to be turned away by a fellow called Mike who runs Salsa Touch I believe - the co-host to Salsa Katanga for the evening. GREEN BIN WARNING!

I found a red notice on my green bin yesterday - apparently the refuse collectors couldn't take it because there was glass in it. There wasn't when I looked but there was a basket full of bottles near the bins so I presumed my next door neighbour must have removed them from the bin when he saw the notice. MY LEFT ARM IS GETTING BIGGER!

I've had an old bike locked securely onto a wall 1 meter away from my flat door which is on the first floor, This means you can't actually see the bike unless you climb up some concrete stairs. Every first Friday of the month there is an excellent salsa event at The Venue in Brighton run by Carlton Thomas. The social dancing is from 11pm to 2am which is my interest but the Cubana salsa classes which are very professional start at 9pm. 2018-05-27: Scalalatina Spring Spectacular Bank Holiday Salsa Party with Katie!

The Latin Collective boast that Scalalatina is The UKs Biggest Latin club night with 1200+ people at each event! It's an all night event held on a Sunday at Scala from 6pm to 6am. There are workshops by the most famous teachers in the world until 9pm and then the party night from 9:30 until 6am including some world class performances on the stage in the main room from 1am. I always enjoy the experience of attending Incognito's Putney Salsa Club which is run by the elegant Jeff Tarpinian and has a very friendly atmosphere. The venue has a superb professional dance floor for 200 dancers with an amazing sound system and air conditioning that works. Salsateca London and Ola Latina run a regular event called El Bembe' on every 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month at The Bottlescrue, 33 Foster Lane, London EC2V 6HD. Philip Frost and Miguel Mayana run a monthly salsa event at The Bedford in Balham which is one of my favourite venues. The main room for salsa is ideal: wooden dance floor, capacity for 250 dancers, excellent sound system, air conditioning that works and  free parking nearby in Sainsbury for 250 cars! Event 2018-05-10: Salsa Bailando at Drift in Southsea on Thursdays!

The Drift Bar in Southsea is the venue for Bailando every Thursday run by DALE Afro Latin Entertainment from 10pm to 3am. It has been good for the first few months of the year because there have been plenty of people attending Skye's earlier bachata lessons upstairs from 8 to 10pm and most stay for an hour or so to practice to bachata music. Around 11pm the salsa music begins.

The Salsa Family host a Spanish Latin Party on the 4th Sunday of the month at the Wild Lime Bar Reading. The party atmosphere is awesome and the salseras amazing so I'll be going to this event for the Latin Party every month if I can! Event 2018-04-21: Pexava and Friends Saturday Social in West London

Pexava Dance run a Saturday Salsa Special at the Navasartian Centre in Ealing, West London on a monthly basis. It has a excellent air conditioned wooden dance floor, a good sound system and a small stage for the top quality DJ. Shelley Cook de Prado and Gilberto Prado Mendez are the organisers of this event which is a useful addition to my options for salsa Saturdays in London!

I always look forward to being part of the biggest and best monthly salsa dancing venue in the UK which is El Grande at Scala from 21:30 to 05:00 - 4 rooms for  salsa, cuban, bachata & kizomba - often attended by more than 1200 dancers!
