Tracie’s Latin Club and the world famous Alchemy Dance Company run a joint Saturday Salsa Social at St Barnabas Church Hall, Lodge Road, Southampton SO14 6QS on occasional Saturdays from 8pm to 1am. I always go if I can because there are always plenty of good dancers there from far and wide to give me the kind of quality dances I enjoy so much as well as some fun dances! It’s even better than Caliente on alternate Fridays because it attracts fans of the world famous professionals Marchant & Davina as well as Tracie – a professional of Southampton fame!
There are lessons from 8pm to 9:30pm for various levels and then Davina will keep you dancing with all styles of salsa and a taste of bachata & cha-cha-cha throughout the night. There is a dedicated room for kizomba lovers behind the stage.
Tracie has made arrangements with nearby places of business for parking to be allowed as the spaces in the grounds of the hall itself are quite limited and restricted to use by the ladies! You can park at Kwik Fit, Simply Bathrooms & Indigo Press.
St Barnabas Hall has good quality wooden dance floor, an excellent sound system, air conditioning that works and room for 200 salsa dancers. Thoroughly recommended! 🙂
