Latino Interactive run a salsa event at Medbar in Southampton every Sunday from 17:00 to 22:30. It’s always well attended with plenty of good dancers so it’s definitely been a good place to go every Sunday and the doubling of the size of the main dancing room downstairs could make it even better However, I’m reviewing the situation after last Sunday when we were upstairs due to the work being done downstairs because far too many kizomba tracks were played and not enough salsa which is the only kind of dancing which really motivates me on the dance floor.

The lessons start at 5pm and the social dancing at 6pm but arriving at 7pm gives me a good 3+ hours of dancing which is about 2 double shirts worth. I always wear a T-shirt inside my Ghanaian Kente shirt because the first layer absorbs the sweat and passes it slowly to the 2nd layer where it evaporates more efficiently than it would off the 1st layer!
