I remember it well – an energetic salsa dance in Boikanyo’s family compound on a 30°C Boxing Day in 2008 at Maun, Botswana on sand as hot as the nearby Kalahari Desert!. Don’t forget this is summer time at the Tropic of Capricorn (we drove passed that road sign on the way from Gaborone)! The line of latitude of the Tropic of Capricorn (23.5 degrees south of the equator) may be seen on this map!
