Salsateca London and Ola Latina run a regular event called El Bembe' on every 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month at The Bottlescrue, 33 Foster Lane, London EC2V 6HD. There is parking in the streets nearby from 7pm onwards. The venue offers plenty of space for dancing in the main salsa room formed by 3 rectangular areas surrounding the dining tables down the middle of the room. The Latin Collective boast that Scalalatina is The UKs Biggest Latin club night with 1200+ people at each event! It's an all night event held on a Sunday at Scala from 1pm to 6am in this case as the climax to the London LatinFest 2018. The Latin Collective are the hosts for the London LatinFest 2018 which runs from Monday 20th September to Sunday 26th. My interest is in the party nights on Saturday and Sunday. I always enjoy the experience of attending Incognito's Putney Salsa Club which is run by the elegant Jeff Tarpinian and has a very friendly atmosphere. The venue has a superb professional dance floor for 200 dancers with an amazing sound system and air conditioning that works. I planned to go to  S-B-K at Spinnaker Tower 2018 and arrived at 8:50pm to be turned away by a fellow called Mike who runs Salsa Touch I believe - the co-host to Salsa Katanga for the evening. He turned me away because it was a black tie event and my Ghanaian Kente shirt didn't count despite it being worn by royalty in Ghana on special occasions. MY LEFT ARM IS GETTING BIGGER!

On 20th July while salsa dancing at El Grande I needed to get on the stage to dance with a young lady. A fellow on the stage held out his hand and pulled me up energetically. It's a 100 miles drive from Gosport for me but my first time of going was good and I decided to go again although I had planned to go to Putney Salsa Club this particular Friday!

Carlos  & Clare Paz run a monthly salsa fiesta at The Stoke Pub in Guildford on a Saturday. I often miss this event because it clashes with Salsa Explosion's last Saturday event in Las Iguanas which I never miss! So I was pleased to be able to go to what is always an excellent night of salsa this time! It has been good for the first few months of the year because there have been plenty of people attending Skye's earlier bachata lessons upstairs from 8 to 10pm and most stay for an hour or so to practice to bachata music. Tonight was Tropical Sunday at the Drift Bar run by DALE Afro Latin Entertainment from 7pm to 12:30am. There are usually 2 sessions of bachata or salsa lessons at 7:30 and 8:30pm but tonight was a Cubana Special run by the amazing Kasia Rajca! I usually go around 9pm for the social dancing - particularly with Kasia herself who rocks on the salsa dance floor. Tonight was a special night to say goodbye to Rumi who promised to come back next year.

The Latin Collective boast that Scalalatina is The UKs Biggest Latin club night with 1200+ people at each event! It's an all night event held on a Sunday at Scala from 6pm to 6am. There are workshops by the most famous teachers in the world until 9pm and then the party night from 9:30 until 6am including some world class performances on the stage in the main room from 1am. I always enjoy the experience of attending Incognito's Putney Salsa Club which is run by the elegant Jeff Tarpinian and has a very friendly atmosphere. The venue has a superb professional dance floor for 200 dancers with an amazing sound system and air conditioning that works. The dance floor is normally used by Dance Lab for professional ballroom events. The social dancing is from 11pm to 2am which is my interest but the classes which are very professional start at 9pm. The Drift Bar in Southsea is the venue for Bailando every Thursday run by DALE Afro Latin Entertainment from 10:30pm to 3am. It has been good for the last few months because there have been plenty of people attending Skye's bachata lessons upstairs and most stay for an hour or so to practice to bachata music. Event 2018-04-04: Salsa at Bar So Bournemouth on Wednesdays!

Enrique Perez & his partner  Rob Carroll run an excellent evening of salsa at Bar So in Bournemouth every Wednesday. Event 2018-04-01: Scalalatina Easter Extravaganza Bank Holiday Allnighter!

The Latin Collective boast that Scalalatina is The UKs Biggest Latin club night with 1200+ people at each event! It's an all night event held on a Sunday at Scala from 6pm to 6am. There are workshops by the most famous teachers in the world until 9pm and then the party night from 9:30 until 6am including three world class performances on the stage in the main room at 11:30 and another three at 00:30. I wouldn't miss going to this party night any more than I would miss going to the monthly El Grande one!

I always look forward to being part of the biggest and best monthly salsa dancing venue in the UK which is El Grande at Scala from 21:30 to 05:00 - 4 rooms for  salsa, cuban, bachata & kizomba - often attended by more than 1200 dancers!
