I worked for 43 years in the Civil Service and this cartoon reminded me of the annual report system which served no purpose whatsoever with regard to people’s careers!
‘Er! So apart from the crushing workload, lack of support, weak and ineffective management, poor conditions and lack of flexibility was there anything in PARTICULAR you didn’t like about working here?’
Reminds me of another saying about public service:
“We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.”
